Our Five Year Plan

Our long range plan began January 2006 after a long period of organizational assessment. We had taken a look at four major areas that define NETWORK of Community Ministries: our clients, our facility, our professional and volunteer staff, and our finances. The result was a comprehensive plan based on operational and strategic recommendations from the 15 member committee. The plan over time would raise the entire organization to a greater level of nonprofit efficiency and service effectiveness for all who come to NETWORK seeking its help. We are right on schedule, with much below already accomplished.

For Our Clients

Keep pace with the surrounding economic changes that impact the lives of individuals, families and seniors. Open the window of opportunity through education via ESL,GED, job readiness training, and adult literacy improvement. Streamline the client intake process and consider extending hours of operation for our clinics. Offer case management and child care. Prepare to aid in large scale disasters that have a local impact. Maintain partnerships with public agencies and other charities to better serve our clients now and in the future.

For Our Facility

Identify a larger location. Improve the telephone system. Upgrade our computer network. Maintain a disaster recovery plan.

For Our Staff

Expand the professional and the volunteer staff to support a new organizational infrastructure and future growth. Create a plan to enhance recruitment, continuous learning, and volunteer retention. Develop a uniform volunteer handbook to utilize for volunteers in the program areas and on our numerous projects. Prioritize the professional development of our staff for support of their key areas of responsibility.

For Our Finances

Establish best practices in the financial operations. Develop universal policies and procedures for all program areas. Actively prospect for both public and private funding. Implement a method for determining the outcomes of our programs.

For Our Organization

Explore new avenues to build relationships with NETWORK members and community partners. Improve public relations for greater awareness of NETWORK and its Mission to the community-at-large.
