On January 13, 2009 Seniors’ Net was established as an official program of Network. Since its inception over a decade ago, Seniors’ Net has assisted over 20,000 older adults 60 plus and individuals on SSDI with programs and services. Network is proud to share that it has helped these individuals and their dedicated caregivers to maintain or improve their independence and quality of life throughout our 14 zip code service area. All clients must meet our income guidelines and demonstrate need.
Our programs focused on qualified seniors include;
- We provide rent or utility assistance one time a year
- We provide food assistance every 30 days
- We provide clothing assistance every 90 days
***Please note that all assistance is given by appointment only, and only to those who meet program qualifications***
Information & Referral
The most significant of all programs, Information & Referral impacts the greatest number of clients and/or prospective clients within the Seniors’ Net division. Our volunteers provide unprecedented knowledge of services, not only provided by Seniors’ Net and NETWORK, but other agencies as well. Clients contact the Seniors’ Net Call Center when they are in need of services such as food delivery, financial assistance, home repair and assistance with food or clothing and for other agency referrals which may be outside of the NETWORK’S service area.
Handyman Repair and Maintenance
This program provides a broad spectrum of handyman services to assist older adults with maintaining their homes. We help with minor electrical and plumbing repair, weather-stripping, installation of deadbolt locks, small carpentry repairs, yard work and more.
For those who need minor home repairs and are above our income criteria a fee based service is available.
Home Delivered Groceries
Our food delivery program fills an acute need by providing food for clients who have no transportation, are home bound or disabled. Clients call and place their food order (to be filled from our food pantry) and volunteers deliver the food once a month.
Loaves of Love
Loaves of Love offers free loaves of bread to seniors who live in our service area. Bread is available every Thursday and Friday mornings from 9 – 11 a.m.
Presently meeting every 3rd Tuesday from 10 – 12*, this program is free and open to the community and welcomes all ages. Programs include topics important to seniors and their caregivers such as Long Term Care, Medication Management, Vision Health, Diabetes Prevention, Alzheimer’s Awareness, Long Term Care, Medicare, Senior Scams and Social Security.
