Leadership Team

Originally from the Greater Pittsburgh area Cindy has spent nearly 25 years working in local and national non-profits primarily with a focus on serving the poor and vulnerable.

Cindy is currently serving as the President of Helping Agencies Serving Richardson (HASR) along with being the Community Service Co-Chair for Richardson Rotary. In her spare time, she leads a small group for Milestone Church in Keller where she also serves as an usher. Cindy is a proud graduate of Leadership Richardson Class XXXIII and is a member of LRAA.

Mrs. Shafer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grove City College and a Master of Science degree in Professional Leadership & Nonprofit Management from Carlow University. Cindy and her husband, Dave live in Denton and have been proud Texans for the last five years.

Kaylan VanPelt

Director of Programs
Kaylan VanPelt is the Director of Programs at Network. Although Kaylan grew up in the Dallas-area, she moved around while pursuing her education. After living in Denver for 3 years, where she received a Master of International Human Rights from the University of Denver, Kaylan and her husband returned home. Kaylan has worked in a variety of nonprofit organizations, settings, and roles. She is deeply passionate about poverty alleviation and has a heart for serving those in need. Kaylan and her husband are high-school-sweethearts, and they enjoy spending time with their son and herd of nine “furry children”!
Sheri Harden, CPA, is the Director of Finance for Network, and she has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit and corporate accounting. Sheri discovered her passion for the nonprofit world through years of varied volunteer experiences with the Junior League of Dallas. Sheri has been a part of the Network organization since 2013 and enjoys the challenge of financial management paired with making a positive impact in the community. Sheri holds a B.B.A in Accounting from Lamar University, is an active volunteer with community and religious affiliations, resides in Richardson with her husband and is mother to three wonderful children.

Tina Floyd

Director of Development and Marketing
Tina brings to Network over 25 years of organizational management, development and marketing experience within the nonprofit sector. In director, manager and consulting roles, she has contributed to the financial health and program growth of multiple human service, healthcare and educational organizations. Tina received her B.S. degree from Bucknell University and has a Master’s in Business from Husson University. Tina has two grown sons, and resides in Richardson with her husband and two dogs.
