Volunteer at Network

Network is in need of compassionate and dedicated volunteers to help serve our neighbors in need. Whether you are a high school or college student who needs volunteer hours, a young professional looking to meet others or a family who would like to serve together, Network has a place for you! Volunteers ages 16 and up may volunteer alone and ages 14-15 may volunteer if accompanied by an adult.

Please click here to watch our volunteer orientation video and then select one of the sign up links below! Once you have selected a shift, you will receive an email with further information and instructions. To better support our clients, we ask that you cover your $10 background check fee.

Please note our volunteer times are Monday through Thursday 8 am to 4 pm, Friday 9 am to Noon and Saturday 9 am to 2 pm. If you are interested in volunteering as a group, please call our Volunteer Manager at (972) 234-8880 ext. 126 or email her at

Remote Volunteer Opportunities

Please Contact for more information and details on the below opportunities.

Data Entry

If you like working on a computer, this is the option for you! We need help inputting information collected from our programs into our database system. For data entry a 1 week turnaround time is required for the information to be entered.

Senior Companion Calls

Within our Seniors’ Net Program we conduct what we call Companion Calls.
A volunteer will call a Seniors’ Net client to check in on them to make sure they are safe and well (physically and mentally) and provide comfort. This does require a once a month minimum commitment as we will assign you clients to check in on at least once a month.

Utility Assistance

Through our Emergency Services Programs, Network provides utility assistance for those whose income level qualifies. Volunteers are scheduled appointments with clients to discuss their income status, collect utility bill and provider information, and from there we pledge our assistance to the utility provider to help cover costs. This role requires a weekly commitment for a minimum of 3 consecutive hours one day during our hours of operation. Any new volunteers for this role will need to be thoroughly trained as well as shadow virtually another volunteer while they provide utility assistance to a client.
